Workplace exclusion refers to the employees perceive other people's exclusion,neglect and refusal in the workplace.Workplace exclusion exists in a variety of organizations,it will bring a series of negative effects to the organization's interpersonal relationship and the normal operation of the organization.Employees who suffered workplace ostracism will take appropriate coping style according to their own situation,and these coping styles are the direct causes to the subsequent effect of workplace ostracism.Therefore,it is very necessary to make research on workplace ostracism coping style.Taking the staff who experienced workplace ostracism as the research objects,and by adopting literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method and statistical analysis method,this study analyzed the dimension of workplace ostracism coping style,and compiled the workplace ostracism coping style scale.Using that scale,this study discussed the influence factors of workplace ostracism coping style,and analyzed the influence of achievement need,affiliation need and need for power,attribution and political skills on workplace ostracism coping style.The main results and conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Levels of positions have significant differences on the positive coping styles of workplace ostracism,while gender,age,education and accumulated working time has no significant difference on the positive coping styles;negative coping style of workplace ostracism are not significantly different in various demographic variables.(2)The need for achievement,the need for affinity and political skills have a significant positive predictive effect on the positive workplace rejection coping styles,and have a significant negative predictive effect on negative coping styles of workplace ostracism.(3)The need for power and control attribution has a significant negative predictive effect on the positive coping style of workplace ostracism,and has a significant positive predictive effect on negative coping styles of workplace ostracism.(4)Local attribution and stability attribution is not a significant predictor of positive and negative coping style of workplace ostracism.(5)Local attribution and stability attribution has no moderate effect on the relationship between the three kinds of needs and coping style of the workplace ostracism;control attribution moderate the relationship between achievement need and positive coping style of workplace ostracism,and it has moderating effect on the relationship between the need for affiliation and coping style of workplace ostracism,besides,it has no moderating effect on the relationship between the need for power and coping style of workplace ostracism.(6)The political skill plays a moderating role in the relationship between the need for achievement and coping style of workplace ostracism,and it has a moderate effect on the relationship between the need for affiliation and coping style of workplace ostracism.The relationship between the need for power and coping style of workplace ostracism is also moderated by the political skill.(7)Control attribution and political skill have no joint moderate effect on the relationship between the need for achievement and coping style of workplace ostracism,and they have no joint moderate effect on the relationship between the need for affiliation and coping style of workplace ostracism.
