Spirituality is the embodiment of religious secularization, but scholars in western countries have many different understandings towards it. Miller proposed an integrated definition of spirituality on the basis of the exploratory factor analysis in 2004. He thought that spirituality is one's core prosocial beliefs about the world, humanity, nature, and one's higher being; the values by which one should ideally live. So far as I know, this definition based on psychometrics is integrated, novel and forward-looking until now. Relations between spirituality and mental health have been at the initial stage, and discussions using path analysis methods are even limited at home and abroad. This study emphatically discussed the influencing factors of spirituality and relations between spirituality and coping style, self-esteem and depression for undergraduates based on revising the Miller measure of spirituality (MMS) employing confirmatory factor analysis, using undergraduates as its researching objects.The results of this study were mainly as follows:(1) The revised MMS has two factors: Prosocial beliefs and the importance of a higher being, both of them have eight items. It has adequate internal consistency reliability and split-half reliability, and adequate construct validity and criterion-related validity.(2) The average score of spirituality suggests prosocial beliefs score...
