According to the survey of the difficulty levels in learning Chinese of Mongolian students from the three universities in Inner Mongolia,the research on the learning conditions and adaptive teaching methods is necessary.The paper takes primary and intermediate Mongolian students as target,instead of just describing errors and making interpretive analysis,the paper take Mongolian students as target,and take the identification of monosyllabic tone and bi-syllable tone of Chinese with vocalization of Mongolian students,according to the perception experiment and acoustical experiment.With the result of the former 2experiments and physiology knowledge,we can summarize the capital errors of Mongolian students in their Chinese tone learning,and try to make some differences.The result of perception experiment shows that the error rate from intermediate students in monosyllabic tone and bi-syllable tone is lower than that from primary students.The highest error rate in intermediate and primary monosyllabic tone comes from level tone while in the primary bi-syllable is from rising tone.As for intermediate bi-syllable,the highest error rate of former word is second tone,while the latter word is rising tone.The result of acoustical experiment predicts that the students can't reach the highest tone or the lowest tone of mandarin.Compared to monosyllabic tone,there are much more problems in bi-syllable tone,while the problems occurs in the former one is the subset of the problems in latter one.With the knowledge of contrastive analysis theory,error analysis theory,inter-language theory and motor theory,we found the cause why Mongolian students make errors in monosyllabic tone and bi-syllable tone: mother language's influence on second language,the ability ofcontrollability on vocal cords and related muscle,individual difference in learning language,etc.And we make some suggestions in the tonal teaching for Mongolian students that teachers need to make many attempts,combine listening with speaking,perfect their teaching methods,promote their own attainments and so on.
