A Comparative Study Of Ecological Literature Between Aitmatov And Mandmoi

With the development of industrial civilization,serious ecological damage increasingly becomes a global problem.More and more writers focus their attention on the ecological destruction.Due to the lack of a correct understanding of the relationship between man and nature,those writers hold the "Anthropocentrism" viewpoint to call for environmental protection from human perspective.However Aitmatov and Mandumai,the minority writers,who born and grow in nature approach the problem from ecological view of equality between man and nature believing that the relationship between man and nature should be not only mutual fusion but also mutual generation and restriction.Aitmatov is an influential Ecological Russian writer.White Ship is a work with unique perspective of ecology.The publication of the book caused a sensation throughout the whole Russian literary world,and quickly became a hot topic at home and abroad.The publication of a number of novels such as Guillotine and One Day Longer than A Hundred Years all have achieved amazing results.Mandumai is the first Mongolian writer in China to create ecologically.His works deeply root in the fertile soil of Mongolian nomadic culture exploring the symbolic culture of horses.His writing has led to the trend of the Mongolian literature's creation in a new era,and many his works have aroused a great sensation in the literary world of Mongolia.Horse-Wolf-Hometown,The Sound of Horses Goes away and Songs Went on the Pastoral Grassland and other novels used simple language to let people feel the author's care about nature and man.In the introduction part,it discusses the origin of ecological literature,its developmental process in China and Russia,and the source of the ecological thoughts of Aitmatov and Mandumai.The first part discusses the characteristics of Aitmatov and Mandumai's literary creation from three aspects:material selection,connotation and writing skills.The second part analyzes the influential factors of the two writers' creation in the ecological literature.The third part discusses the value of their creation from the view of the ethnic minorities' development,ecological literature and society.The thesis mainly adopts the methods of comparative study,textual and literature research.The reasons why I chose the two writers to do comparative study is as follows.First of all,the literary relationship between China and Russia is the most closely among all the cultural communications catching the researchers' attention for a long period.Secondly,because the ecological problems are become more prominent today,ecological research fits in with the needs of society.The development of Russian ecological literature has a long history.The works have profound significance and penetrating mind.Finally,there is few research between Aitmatov and Chinese contemporary writers in terms of quantity,and so far the comparative research between Aitmatov and Mandumai is still vacant.The similarity of the natural environment and ecological ethics determines that there are many similarities between the two writers owning stronger comparability.The two writers not only denounce destructive action of human being,but also explore the future of nation and human making a kind of extraordinary judgment.The study of ecological works of ethnic minorities will not only help us to protect the ecological environment better while developing the economy,but also can inject fresh blood into ecological literature.At the same time,it is helpful to guide the national minority literature to connect with the mainstream literature,and to promote the development of Minority Literature.
