Ecocriticism is a kind of literary criticism modality that rises in middle of 90's of 20th century in Euro-American, studying the relation between literature and natural environment Since 90's of 20 century is up to now, accompanying with global ecosystem crisis and modern people spirit crisis to turn worse increasingly, ecocriticism has been gradually concerned and valued.This dissertation sets out from the history background of ecocriticism from abroad, investigates the development process of ecocriticism in the Euro-American, and summarizes representative ecocriticism theories and thoughts in abroad; This dissertation studies native construction of ecological literature science, ecological aesthetics and ecosystem literature; The research results obtained in the aspects of excavating and unscrambling ecological implication of the ancient, modern and contemporary literature . Finally this dissertation clears up the discussion about the meaning of ecocriticism, the range and object of research and the value position of ecocriticism.This dissertation thinks the multi-tune of ecocriticism is the embodiment of ecological diverse coexistence principle; every kind of different theories is all united in stand and end-result. Kinds of dispute are very important and ineluctable in the process of development of ecocriticism. The construction of Chinese characteristic ecocriticism should relate closely with Chinese tradition and actuality at the same time of fetching in advanced theories in abroad.Still exists not perfect place in the growth process of ecocriticism , but along with the improvement of the theory itself and the participation of more scholars, the development situation of ecocriticism would be better and better.
