Gender Inequality In Buddhism Equality Is Analysed

The Mahayana view of female ethics has followed the theory of “existence being equal”,and claimed that women and men should own the ultimate equality and both be respected.But,with the influence of the historical reasons and the theory of “men being superior to women”,the Buddhism carried out the rule of “men being superior to women and women’ s body and soul being filthy” in its system and cultivation,and thus left the emergence of the gender inequality in the buddhist ethics.This article attempts to explain the causes of equality in buddhism,And then point out that there are still specific phenomena of equality between men and women in Buddhist equality thought,Through the analysis of different Buddhist thoughts in the different views of men and women,Summed up the reasons for these inequalities,Comprehensive reasons,It further expounds the significance of realizing the equality between men and women in Buddhism,Finally,through self thinking,we can find four ways to promote equality between men and women 。 The thought and method of realizing equality between men and women in Buddhism put forward in this article are very sobering and useful to modern people.
