Wall-Poetry is often inscribed on the surface of buildings and objects.Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty is a part of the Poetry of the Tang Dynasty.With the prosperity of poetizing in Tang Dynasty,Imperial Examinations based on poem-composing and calligraphy-creating provided a policy preparation for Wall-Poetry Creation which lead to a booming from all aspects like the varieties of creative places and surfaces,numerous creative motives and method,plentiful creative contents and artistic characteristics and so on,that Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty has reached an unprecedented level in both Literature and Arts.Considering the appreciation of both poem-composing and calligraphy-creating,this paper is going to study the creation,spread and preservation of Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty according to the phases of creation,which is before,during and end of the creation,to explore the meanings from both the comprehensive study and interdisciplinary research.This paper is consist of five parts:The Introduction determines the study circumscription,sums up the study history and backgrounds,analyzes the present situation and the significance,builds a full view of the future research.Chapter One intents to coming the development thread of Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty in order to analyze the creation backgrounds,so that to sort out the benefits from social development which contributed to the talent and culture preparation for the florescence of Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty.The varieties of creative places and surfaces,plentiful emotion varieties and perfect traffic facilities are all the necessary condition for the development of Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty.Chapter Two puts eyes on the creation aspect.For creative motives and method,there are two primary ways as Personal Wall-Poetry and Group Wall-Poetry,the former one includes Re-creation and Presenting,the latter is made up of Posting and Same-title Creation.Besides are Transcribed Wall-Poetry and Wall-Poetry created by Immortals and Ghosts.For creative content,Wall-Poetry works' texts are divided into four categories as Generation,Power,Events and Time.For creative contents and artistic characteristics,summarizes the features of Wall-Poetry works' text and calligraphy marks respectively.Besides,Wall-Calligraphy,which showed in Wall-Poetry works' calligraphy marks are analyzed from several style of calligraphy like Cursive Script,Feibai Script etc to explore the strengthening effects.Chapter Three puts the efforts on the spread of the Wall-Poetry.Start from creative places and surfaces,study the static and dynamic state of the spread.Then based on this two different states of the spread,compares Wall-Poetry spread with oral spread and transcribe spread,generalize both the advantages and disadvantages of the spread method of the Wall-Poetry.Besides,gives a brief investigation and discuss on Wall-Poetry preservation.The last part is mainly focusing on two topics,one is attempt to analyze the remain calligraphy works to gain the intuitive feelings about Wall-Poetry and Wall-Calligraphy of Tang Dynasty,the other is trying to explore the modern meaning of the Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty from the comparison between Wall-Poetry of the Tang Dynasty and We Media.
