The Comparative Study On Vocabulary Of Xiang Fen In Shan Xi Province Dialect And Mandarin

This paper is based on a series of fruitful achievements in the study of Chinese dialect vocabulary,electing Xiang Ling Zhen of Xiang Fen County in Shan Xi Province dialect as the research object,screening out the most distinctive dialect vocabulary,comparing and fingding out the differences in the aspects of word-formation,semantic,vocabulary components between Chinese and Mandarin.Besides,this paper aims to study the inheritance and development of the vocabulary of Xiangfen dialect words to ancient vocabulary from the diachronic perspective,revealing the reasons of the differences and striving to provide a detailed information for the study of Shanxi dialect vocabulary,which provides an important reference for the study of Chinese dialect vocabulary and vocabulary history.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is introduction.The first chapter is mainly to illustrate the geography?population and its history of Xiangling town of Xiangfen and to comb the Chinese dialect vocabulary researches over the past years,particularly to emphasis on the outstanding achievements of Jin dialect vocabulary;in addition,the research purpose,significance and research study materials and methods are also introduced in this chapter.The second and three or four chapter are the key ones of this paper.The differences of word formation,semantic and composition between Xiangfen and Mandarin are discussed respectively.The second chapter mainly analysis their morpheme and word-formation.The third chapter is their semantic differences,mainly from the core of semantic unit--meaning as the starting point,emphatically to analyse the meaning-value(nature)and semantic domain(measure),and then to illustrate the semantic features of the Xiangfen dialect vocabulary.The fourth chapter is the differences of vocabulary components,which contains the contrast and illustration of basic vocabulary,the retention and use of ancient words.Moreover,it contains the analysis and examples of innovative dialectwords and loanwords.These three chapters compare and analysis the vocabulary of two languages from three aspects.The key reasons for differences are reflected in the fifth chapter,which include the internal factors of language itself,such as changes in voice,language inheritance,language contact and different language cognitions,but also are external factors,mainly for historical influence,social influence,literary,and artistic effect and the influence of geography.It is the internal and external factors that lead to a certain difference between the Xiangfen vocabulary and the Mandarin vocabulary.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the main ideas and conclusions of the article.
