| William Hugh Albright(1944.10.20-1998.9.17)is one of the most outstanding composers in 20 thCentury,the genre of the composition is abundant,his works are prolific and has diverse style and famous reputation.Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano was wrote in 1984,and is in the debut with the renowned saxophonist Donald Sinta,the famous pianist Ellen Wikler in the same year.The work consists of four movements,integrate a variety of musical elements and composing techniques,and had showed its unique music language,it embodies the Albright’s "eclecticism" in the composition aesthetically.The work has a lot of players of all ages,has become a classic literature,saxophone high position.The work is favored by a large number of performers,and has been becoming a virtuosic composition with unique status.In this study,the author intends to start from the background of composition,do the ontology music analysis from multiple aspects,and based on the text,for the correct performance interpretation of the works,to provide some constructive suggestions and ideas. |
