Discussion Of Omitted Expression In Japanese Personal Pronouns

Many languages in the world generally use personal pronouns to refer to speakers and listeners,while Japanese don’t use “I”,“you” and any other personal pronouns in comparison.We call this phenomenon “ The Omission of Personal Pronouns”.The omission can be attributed to the hidden historical and cultural traditions,social cultural background,national character and thinking and any other reasons behind the language of Japan.On the other hand,there are also some appeared personal pronouns,I explored the use of Japanese personal pronouns from three conditions :the pronouns must be omitted,the pronouns can be omitted or appeared and the personal pronouns must be appeared.The whole article is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,at the beginning mentioned the propose of the question and discuss the purpose and significance of this research;followed is the introduction of the use of Japanese personal pronouns,the reasons of its omission,personal pronouns can not be omitted and other reviews of China and Japan.At last,I summary the standpoint of this article.The second chapter is the research of the present situation of the use of personal pronouns.It is found that the number of Japanese personal pronouns is large,but because of the influence of culture and geography and any factors,personal pronouns are rarely used in the actual situation.This chapter paves way for following passage.The third chapter is the key chapter of this article,which discusses the situation that the personal pronouns must be omitted from six different expressions,such as the expression of the relationship between giving and accepting,the expression of honorific,the expression of passive,the causative,the servitude and so on.The fourth chapter is the transition chapter analyses the personal pronouns in what circumstances can be omitted or can not be omitted briefly,it serves as a connecting link between the preceding and the following.The fifth chapter puts forward the expression that the personal pronouns must appear in the sentences or paragraphs from five different perspectives.Such as the beginning of new topics and the transformation between topics,emphasis or contrast of emotional highlights,as well as the added modifiers before personal pronouns on grammatical perspective.In these cases,personal pronouns must appear.At the end of this article,it summarizes and makes a conclusion.No matter which language of different countries or races has its own expression habits,we should choose suitable personal pronouns according to different occasions,objects and so on.In view of the use of personal pronouns,we must be fully aware of the differences among the various languages and use them correctly in the process of actual situation.
