Abstract/Summary:
Since the Han Dynasty, the omission of this language phenomenon has attracted the attention of sinologists.Ellipsis often occurs in spoken discourse, and the use of personal pronoun ellipsis is the most abundant. At present, previous studies mainly focus on the theory of personal pronoun ellipsis and the use of personal pronouns, and most of them are based on written language materials. There are few studies on personal pronouns from the perspective of oral discourse and errors. Therefore, through the transliteration, statistics and analysis of the oral corpus of the global cultural relativism section in ’ informal talks ’,this paper explores the errors of personal pronouns on the basis of the study of the overall use of personal pronouns omitted by English native speakers, and draws corresponding suggestions. The full text is divided into four parts,as follows :The first chapter is the introduction, which is composed of research purpose and significance, research objects and data sources, research theoretical basis and methods. In addition,it also focuses on the previous research results. The second chapter mainly analyzes the senior English native speakers Chinese personal pronoun errors.Firstly, the overall ellipsis of personal pronouns commonly used by native English speakers in oral discourse is statistically analyzed. The author finds that the use of personal pronoun ellipsis in oral discourse mainly focuses on the first person, which is different from that in written discourse.Secondly,it focuses on the statistics and analysis of the errors made by English native speakers. It is found that the errors are mainly reflected in the two aspects of the common personal pronouns : the omission and the improper omission,of which the omission accounts for more than half, indicating that native speakers of English use too many personal pronouns in spoken discourse, making sentences redundant, and the whole discourse is not coherent enough, which violates the economic principle of language to some extent. The third chapter analyzes the reasons for the omission of personal pronouns in advanced English native speakers from each type of error. The first is the interference of negative transfer of mother tongue on the target language;the second is the overgeneralization of target language rules;and the third is the influence of factors such as simplification strategies, among which negative transfer of mother tongue is the main factor. The fourth chapter puts forward suggestions from the perspectives of learners, teachers and teaching materials according to the types and causes of errors in the use of personal pronoun ellipsis by native English speakers : learners should pay attention to the differences between Chinese and English personal pronouns and choose appropriate communicative strategies in the use of personal pronouns;teachers compare and summarize the phenomenon of ellipsis before class, and combine the actual characteristics of learners in the classroom to cultivate learners ’ discourse awareness and strengthen oral discourse teaching. The content of " oral discourse knowledge " is added to the oral textbooks from the initial stage. It systematically summarizes and interprets the ellipsis phenomenon that often occurs in spoken discourse;exercise design should be from shallow to deep, form should be diversified. In order to provide some targeted help for Chinese learners, and provide some favorable references for Chinese teachers to promote the oral teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
