Music education, as an interdiscipline of musicology and pedagogy, covering a wide range of content, has a time-honored tradition in human history. Music education in China also has in itself the unique inheritance. After the reform and opening up, with the increasing cultural exchanges, the introduction of the concept of western culture and music education ideas has exerted an important influence on music education in our country. As the leading figure of music education theoretical research in the new period of China, professor Guan Jianhua has made a great contribution in the field of Music education and musical culture exploration. His theory has important reference value to the the current music education and music curriculum reform, thus holds great academic research values.This paper focuses on the background, theoretical basis, development context, theoretical framework and practical value of Guan Jianhua’s music education theory.This paper studies the core issue of GuanJianHua is professor of music education philosophy and its theoretical basis, GuanJianHua music education theory research and professor GuanJianHua, academic value of music education theory to construct the Chinese characteristic of music education system implications.
