There is great potential to use Taichi to assist Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language, if the learning of Taichi can be integrated into the process of Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language, which will not only combine the learning of language with knowing of culture, but also increases the interest of overseas students' Chinese learning so as to promote the effective development of TCSOL. In view of these above, this thesis based on those theories of TCSOL, and then the author has done some research and explored on the principles and significance of Taichi teaching, what's more, a set of Taichi teaching scheme matched with Chinese teaching has been designed on basis of those theories.The main part of the thesis can be divided into five parts, the second chapter makes some analysis on the relevant definitions of Taichi (Shadow Boxing) and Chinese traditional culture; in the third and fourth chapter, some discussion has been carried out on Teaching Design of Taichi. Meanwhile the author has designed a set of Taichi teaching scheme. Taichi plays an important role in TCSOL and also develops very well, but there are still some problems in Teaching of Taichi, on account of these problems, the author has brought up four pieces of advice in order to make some contribution to the cause of Teaching of Taichi. Firstly, united syllabus, textbooks and teaching standards are needed in Teaching of Taichi; secondly, the contents of Taichi Teaching should be clear; thirdly, the specialized teachers of Taichi are needed to be cultivated; fourthly, it is really necessary to use Taichi to assist Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language.
