This study aims to study the current situations of graduate students' psychological symptom and subjective well-being as well as the characteristics of graduate student psychological symptom and subjective well-being changing with the time.By taking the Symptom check-list 90(SCL-90)and International college survey(ICS)as the study tool,and taking the 449 graduate students from more than a dozen colleges and universities such as Suzhou University,Central South University,Tongji University and Jilin University etc as participants,it made the horizontal study on graduate students' psychological symptom and subjective well-being;and the psychological health survey in three times were also performed among the 163 graduate students from the four universities as Suzhou University,Zhongnan University,Tongji University and Jilin University within the coming 12 months,to further make the longitudinal study on the characteristic of the graduate student psychological symptom and subjective well-being changing with the time.Following are the main conclusions:(1)In general,graduate students have below moderate level of psychological symptom,but a few graduate students may have certain psychological problems,obsessive-compulsive disorder,depression and interpersonal sensitivity are the most common symptoms among the graduate student group.(2)In comparison with college students,the graduate student's psychological symptom and subjective well-being is basically better than that of college student,but their overall life satisfaction degree is lower;In comparison with the adults,there are some differences between the graduate student group and adult group.(3)There is significant difference in psychological symptom and subjective well-being among each graduate student group.The male graduate students psychological symptom are better than that female;the psychological symptom and subjective well-being of graduate students represent the feature in “U” shape along with the higher grades,students in second year of graduate school have the best psychological status;the psychological symptom and subjective well-being of these graduate students who have learned mental health program are better than those who do not learn;the psychological symptom of the graduate students in same disciplinary are better than that of trans-disciplinary;the subjective well-being of those graduate students with romantic relationship are higher than that of graduate students in single statue;the overall psychological symptom and subjective well-being of graduate students from rural area are better than those who came from the urban.(4)During the 12 months period from T1(September of 2015)to T3(September of 2016),the psychological symptom and subjective well-being of graduate students represents the trend of getting better.(5)During the 12 months period from T1 to T3,the change of psychological symptom and subjective well-being among different graduate student groups represents different features.The life satisfaction degree of the only child graduate student represents the change in “U” shape,while the change of life satisfaction degree of the non-only child is small;the life satisfaction degree and positive emotion of the graduate students with working experiences have the change in “U” shape,while the change of positive emotion of the graduate students without working experiences are small.
