The Translation Practice And Translation Strategies On Enginery Expository Writing

With the globalization of economy,countries around the world are becoming more and more closely.As a means of cross linguistic and cross cultural communication,translation plays a more and more important role.Through translation,we can learn all civilizations from each other,to achieve mutual exchange of needed products and progress together.This translation report takes The industrial filter using manual(Japanese-Chinese translation)and The electromagnetic valve manual(Chinese-Japanese translation)as an example.And these two translation texts are all for mechanical product instruction.Due to it’s high specialization,the author collected and consulted data associated with it in the process of translation,striving to be faithful to the original text and get accurate translation.The biggest contribution of this report is to analyze issues which should be noticed in the process of translating the mechanical product instruction through the two aspects of Japanese-Chinese translation and Chinese-Japanese translation,and to sum up the related translation strategies and techniques in practice,such discussion on Japanese-Chinese translation and Chinese-Japanese translation’s study is rarely seen in the previous researches.In addition,in the process of translation,the author not only summarizes the proprietary vocabularies about mechanical descriptions,concludes the matters that should be noticed in sentence translation,but also points out the related translation tools,translation softwares,thesaurus,dictionary and so and,and provides some useful translation strategies.I hope that my report can help the translation work in the future.
