Liszt is one of the representative figures in the development of music in the romantic period. He has a great sense of creativity in music creation and created many works with symbolic significance. Among of them, the two concert etudes of Liszt are well received. This paper mainly studies Liszt' s two concert etudes Walderauschen and Gnomenreigen. The analysis is carried out from three chapters. The first chapter is mainly about the life of Liszt and the creation of the two concert etudes. First of all, through the induction and collation of the historical data related to Liszt and his piano music, sorting out and mastering the historical context, and introducing Liszt' s life and his writing background, which leads to the influence of music on Liszt 's music creation in romantic period. At last, this text talks about the status of the two concert etudes in the music creation of Liszt. The second chapter analyzes the works of Liszt 's Walderauschen and Gnomenreigen from the seven aspects, which are musical structure, melody, timbre, texture, tone, speed and strength. The third chapter compares playing styles with technical processing in Walderauschen and Gnomenreigen played by George Zifrau, Arrau and George Bolet. On the basis of discussing the melody and the tone of the work, this paper analyzes in-depth and elaborates the music language features in the Walderauschen and Gnomenreigen, and then according to his own playing experiences, to further analysis the characteristics of the title of these works, so as to more in-depth and comprehensive grasp the characteristics of the piano music in romantic period.Whether in music or in personal thoughts, Liszt fully reflects the characteristics of romanticism. His two concert practice music are famous around the world which because the title of the different styles, forms of tonality, loose and flexible rhythm, rich content of the harmonic texture, wonderful and touching melody and so on. The paper is always focus on the two concert etudes, which covers the social conditions of the creation, the ontology of music and the comparison of different playing styles and so on. On the basis of fully mastering the aesthetic ideas of Liszt' s music, these two music reflect Liszt' s true love to piano music.
