| This article selected the last episode of Grieg’s piano expresses feelings the sketch-Op.71, and focusing on the analysis of which applied to impressionism composing techniques. Op.71 completed in 1901, contains seven piano compositions. These are late compositions of Grieg, these compositions is also the most mature of Greg. Although Greg belongs to late romanticism composer, he inherited the characteristics of the classical, romantic music constantly explore innovation at the same time, formed the unique composing style. Many of his compositions have the characteristics of the impressionism style, including the Op.71.This article analyzed the composing techniques which is have impressionism factors of Grieg’s Op.71, and made several aspects of summary: the use of the melody, the characteristics of the harmonic and the use of modal tonality. The use of the melody is mainly the short, plunge melody; the characteristics of the harmonic including the parallel chords, half tone chords, five degrees superimposed chords and the non-traditional chord connection; the use of modal tonality including the medieval mode, composite mode, five tones mode, double tonal and the non-traditional conversion mode. These composing methods is present the prototype of the modern composing techniques, and have a pioneering important impact on later impressionism music. These novel composition techniques are not a game for technology, but in order to describe compositions connotation and produce dramatic sound effects better. Greg inherits the classical and romantic style, carry forward the Norwegian national music and expanding out a lot of novel composing techniques on this basis, these played an important role to the disintegration of traditional music and the development of impressionism and modern music. |
