The Study On Pottery Figurine Of Han Dynaisty In Hebei Region

Pottery figurine, which dates from the Neolithic Age and got the crest after Eastern Zhou dynasty, is the important burial object in ancient Chinese tombs. The pottery figurines can reflect the political, economic and cultural situation of the time when they were buried, as their shape, number and kinds are all based on the social condition of that time. Because of the significant effect of the pottery figurine for the historical research, this paper chooses the pottery figurines of Hebei region(Hebei province, Beijing and Tianjin) as study object, analyzes the various pottery figurines of Han dynasty, and tries to discuss the social life and the hierarchy condition of that time.This research uses the typological method to dispose data, and makes a clear development line of the pottery figurine of Han dynasty in Hebei region. And secondly, the research discusses the differences between the pottery figurines of Hebei region and other places, and tries to find the reason of the differences by analyzing the culture factor. Thirdly, the research analyzes the different placed locations of the pottery figurines in the tombs, discusses their dissimilar functions and meanings, and summarizes the general rule of the pottery figurine placed locations by conjunctively analyzing the historical condition of Hebei region from nature and social points. Finally, this research analyzes the situation of the pottery figurine of Hebei region in Han dynasty, and discusses the social life and the hierarchy condition of that time.
