The Study Of Folk Custom Sports Activities In Chinese Pottery Figurine And Portrait Brick In Han Dynasty

This article,adopts many aspects like image,cultural scenario to analysis the folk sports activities in the ceramics figurines of Han dynasty.It is focus on the folk sports activities which is contained in the ceramic figurines art of Han dynasty,and starts with a multi-disciplinary perspective which contains Science of Physical Culture and Sports,Science of Ethnic Traditional Sports and Folklore,to organize its developed contents and expression form.The Han folk sports activities are analyzed and sorted out in the following categories: horse riding,archery,music,dance,drama,cuju(an ancient ballgame like soccer)and game playing.The expression of art in these activities,reproduced the social scenes at that time vividly through the pottery figurines which provided the possibility to inherit the folk sports activities.The study shows that in modern society,we can develop the ceramic function of narration and imitation further to demonstrate the aesthetic value of sports ceramic which based on the main subject from sports activities;it also shows that using ceramic sporting goods will broaden the way of sports culture transmission and will also promote a coordinated development in both ceramic and sports.
