Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition will be held in South Lake Ecological Park on April 26, 2016, which will also boost the tourism in Tangshan. Tangshan is famous for its china in northern China; it is a good way to improve Tangshan’s cultural soft power by developing ceramic souvenirs that possesses local characteristics. Moreover, it will become support tourism development in Tangshan.This thesis uses Tangshan ceramic souvenirs as the research object, investigates and analyzes the existing ceramic souvenirs of the tourism market, puts forward ideas and suggestions for the development of Tangshan ceramic souvenirs, especially from the perspective of product design, suggestions for improvements are also put forward on the overall planning of the tourist souvenirs; The thematic construction of Tangshan ceramic souvenirs is emphasized. Ceramic souvenirs which meet different levels are designed, the types and contents of the products are enriched. Follow the design concept of artistry,innovation and regionalism, Suggestions and ideas of the artistic creation of Tangshan ceramic souvenirs are put forward. The common development of Tangshan ceramics and tourism industry will promote the development of Tangshan tourism economy and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure. Through the research, the writer hopes to make an effort to the development and design of the ceramic souvenirs that have native cultural characteristics.
