The Chivalrous Culture's Intergenerational Writing In Jiaodong Contemporary Fictions

This thesis takes Jiaodong contemporary fictions as the studying object, and the chivalrous swordsman culture as the cut-in point, with the theories of inter-generation and literature criticism, to explore the inter-generational writing questions of chivalrous swordsman culture in Jiaodong contemporary novels among different inter-generations.The thesis can be divided into two parts:The first part is Chapter 1, which is the theory constructing part of the paper. First, by reviewing the chivalrous swordsman's different developing sequences between “the real world” and “textual world”, the essay introduces two concepts: the “real chivalrous swordsman” and “ideal chivalrous swordsman”. The formation of the chivalrous culture is on the historical turbulence of the “real chivalrous swordsman” and the literature constructing of the “ideal chivalrous swordsman”, thus it is enriched and accumulated to be a “chivalrous culture gene” which has heredity and variability. Second, the essay explores two types of literature writing questions: chivalrous swordsman culture gene's“dominant writing” and “recessive writing”. Meanwhile trough introducing the inter-generational theory, it constructs the studying frame of “inter-generational writing”of chivalrous swordsman culture gene. The studying frame includes two aspects, one includes the three factors(time, region, writer) and the existing space of the inter-generation writing constituted by the chivalrous swordsman culture gene; the other is the representing space of the inter-generation writing made by the writing resources,aesthetic characteristics and narrative tactics. The breakthrough of the two spaces accomplish the textual expression of the chivalrous swordsman culture gene. Third, the essay analyzes the formation and gene-code of Jiaodong's regional culture and chivalrous swordsman's culture, and divides the novelists of Jiaodong literature into several groups by the inter-generation theory, that is, according to the compositive standards of physical“period”(born time), social “period” and artistic “period”, the essay at last divides theJiaodong contemporary novelists into three inter-generations: “the first generation”“the second generation” and “the absent third generation ”.The second part is Chapter 2, 3, 4, which is the text analyzing part. The paper points out that among the three inter-generations of Jiaodong contemporary novels, through the text writing process of “chivalrous culture gene”, the first and second generations have inheritance relationships, while the “absent third generation” shows heavy fracture with the former two generations. Therefore, Chapter 2, 3 analyze the writing resources,aesthetic characteristics and narrative strategies of the first and second generations of Jiaodong writers' inter-generational writings. For the first generation, it is the heroic representation of the “chivalrous swordsman + loyalty” model, with its writing resources as “homeland feelings” “war experiences”, and “non-knowledge-based writers”, and its aesthetic characteristic is “loyal, chivalrous tenderness” and its narrative tactic is “revenge pattern”. The second generation has double directions of “ chivalrous swordsman +journey” and “chivalrous swordsman + loyalty” model, with its writing resources as“homeland feelings”, “cultural revolution memories”, and “reform & open”, then the aesthetic characteristic is “commiserative and chivalrous heart” and “heroic wandering spirit”, the narrative strategy is “wandering narration”. Chapter 4 takes about the fracture question of the inter-generation of the “absent third generation” in Jiaodong chivalrous swordsman culture gene writing, and meanwhile it refers to the “absent third generation”phenomenon with the texts, and have a preliminary exploration of the reasons causing the scene.
