Picture book is a kind of art form which telling a story by combining pictures and texts.As a kind of unique artistic form,the picture book has the advantages of image design,language plain refined,it is good enough to attract children's attention,also gradually popularized in the kindergarten education.By recording and analysis of the kindergarten taipans children(5 ~ 6 years old)on different type of story,reading comprehension scores and eye movement data,this study probes into the eye movement characteristics of picture book reading and reading comprehension with using the eye movement experiment technology.Infants attending experiments were randomly divided into two groups,a group of independent reading ways,a set of Shared reading ways.Before the experiment,a literacy test was carried out on the subjects,statistical results show that there was no significant difference between two groups of children's literacy quantity.In formal experiment,we asked each of the participants completed a picture book reading page(seven),then answered three questions(topic perception problem,content memory problem and content understanding problem).Experiment of eye movement indices include fixation time,total reading time,for the first time at times and the average fixation time.The experimental material of experiment 1 was the life common sense kind of picture book,the results showed that:(1)When reading life common sense kind,there was no significant difference between different ways of reading by analyzing the eye movement indicators.(2)Under the condition of a single reading way,infants priority focused on the drawing area,looking at number increase and reading time longer.(3)Under the condition of different ways of reading,there was significant difference between reading scores,share perception scores and grade the theme of the reading group was obviously higher than that of independent reading group.Experiment 2 used emotional class picture book as the experimental material,the r esults found that:(1)When reading emotional kind of picture books,different ways of r eading to children's characteristics had varied influence,the eye movement indices havesignificant difference about the interest(In the whole picture area,there were significan t differences between the two groups in the average fixation duration,and there were sig nificant differences in the total reading time between the two groups in the picture area;when watching text areas,two groups of various eye movement indices had significant difference).(2)Under the single way of reading,children priority focused on the drawin g areas when reading the class picture books of life common sense.So that the look at n umber increased and reading time prolonged.(3)Under the different way of reading,the re were significant differences reading comprehension scores,subject awareness scores and total reading scores of shared reading group were significantly higher than the indep endent reading group.Experimental research conclusions:(1)When children are reading picture books,the effect of reading methods on the eye movement characteristics depends on the specific experimental materials and interest areas.(2)The story types in a certain extent,affect reading way of the comparison results between the eye movement indicators.(3)In the two ways of reading,the children showed preferential fixation,more fixat ion times and long fixation time on the picture area.(4)Shared reading scores are better than the independent reading group,namely implement shared reading helps to improve the reading comprehension performance of children.
