The Study About Guo Xun

Guo Xun is the sixth generation descendant of Guo Ying which is one of the founding fathers of Ming Dynasty.He also a representative of xunchen family and a Generals in Ming Government during Jiajing.He extensively involved in the political affairs of Jiajing Period and played an important role in the political situation.In this paper, the major research object is Guo Xun.It’s about his family, his rising in the Jiajing period,his major political activities and his final outcome. Through this paper we will have a more comprehensive understanding about Guo Xun.Why could Guo Xun be widely involved in political activities in Jiajing period?Firstly,inseparable from his family foundation.Wuding Marquis family is one of the few families which extended from the early Ming Dynasty to the late Ming Dynasty.The article introduces the Wuding Marquis family members,the inheritance process of Wuding Marquis and reasons which this family can extend for so long time.Secondly, because of he was a generals who handed with military power. Guo Xun was in charge of three thousand camp during the Masanori Period. After the Masanori emperor died,Guo Xun was ordered to defend the capital, set a credit.Therefore, he is the object drew by Zhu Houcong which ascended the throne with the outlying identity.Additionally, he supported King Sejong in the Ritual and drew Sejong’s attention quickly, making it possible to rise initially.The ensuing "Li Fuda prison",Guo Xun influenced the development as a key figure in the direction of the case.Guo Xun told Sejong that the supervisors’impeachment to him because of his attitude in the Ritual.Through this he saved himself successfully and also helped Sejong to suppress the civil service.After,Guo Xun completed rise and had a broad participation in the affairs of Jiajing Period.Guo Xun’s major activities focused on the political, military, rituals and engineering in Jiajing period.At the same time, he also had intercourse with the principal officials, such as Yang Yiqing, Zhang Cong, Gui-E, Xia Yan.Guo Xun’s political career peaked in Jiajing eighteen years(1539).He was promoted to Yiguo Duke.But,good times didn’t last long.Two years later,Guo Xun was imprisoned due to offend Sejong.Furthermore, due to its usual behavior led to large-scale impeach by ministers,to make Sejong’s lighter disposal is also powerless.The following year, he died in prison.Guo Xun as xunchen and generals who could be widely involved in affairs of state and could be promoted to Yiguo Duke.It is rare throughout the Ming Dynasty.So,the research on him is especially necessary.
