The Ganzhou Historical Records of Ming Dynasty in Jiajing period,which was majored by Kang He,then the magistrate of Ganzhou,and edited by Dong Tianxi,is the earliest existing local records of Ganzhou.It was written in the 14 th year of Jiajing(1535)and printed in the 15 th year of Jiajing(1936).The historical sources of Ganzhou Fuzhi in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty are mainly official documents such as Song History and geographical documents such as Da Ming Yi Tong Zhi,together with collections,notes,poems,inscriptions,etc.These rich historical materials have been carefully handled by the compilers headed by Dong Tianxi by using simplified abbreviations,recording the full text,adding benefits and textual research.Ganzhou Local Records of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty is divided into 12 volumes,14 classes and 37 orders,including astronomy,geography,mountains and rivers,food and goods,creation,sacrificial rites,rank officials,famous officials,elections,grace,talents,arts and foreign records.Ming Jiajing’s Ganzhou Fuzhi covers a wide range of contents,draws rigorous materials and focuses on character records;The style is divided into classes and columns,and the order is clear;There is a small preface before the article,which is rich in content;Mutual brushwork,avoid repetition.Ganzhou Local Records of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty clearly recorded the geography,mountains,customs,politics,economy,character events,culture and education,talent selection,etc.in Ganzhou area more than 480 years ago,which has high historical value in preserving historical data of characters,social economy,culture and education,talent selection,customs and literature related to Ganzhou area,etc.However,it also has some shortcomings,such as the lack of content and the error of historical materials.This does not affect its high historical value.
