The Tibetan poetry (Nyan-Ngag me-longma)was translated from sanskrit by sakya pandita kunga Gyaltsen (1182-1251) and his enthusiasm for sanskrit verse and prosody was not widly shraed by tibetans, but shongton Dorjee Gyaltsen continued his work and completed. After Shongton Dorjee Gyaltsen,a translator, pang was checked all detail. In my thesis, I have compared that sa-pan's translation with shongton's.The tibetan poetry(Nyan-Ngag Me-longma)was,first,translated Into Tibetan by Skya pandita, shong and pang lotsawa, transalations overshadowed the sapan's short one, leading to its negligence from the scope of any serious study. This translated version of melongma by Sapan and its tradition has now become an antiquity and a rarity, which is hard to find. I wish to attempt a comparative study of the three text. This thesis has totally three chapters and nine categories. In the first chapter, it is generally talking about Sapan and Pang' general translation. In the second chapter, it is comparing about the poetry structure. In the third chapter, it is comparring poetry adverbs, with Chages, also some translations from other's by Sapan.
