Restoration Design

As an important component of the nature,human always acquire natural resources to satisfy their demands in the strong attitude of man can conquer nature.The more developed the science and technology is,the more superior people's life will be;thus,some disadvantages emerged consequently,such as the fast pace of life made some people become stubborn and indifferent,they lose themselves,keep away from nature,and their lives are alienated gradually.As for design,the regression of handicraft,deficiency of details,and separation of use and practice of design all deviated from the essence of design for the sake of pursuing efficiency and purpose.In terms of ecology,people extract metal from mineral,refine plastic with petroleum,and make deck by felling so as to blend into nature in this way;however,they do not know that their properties are totally different since metal will be corroded,plastic will aging and rack while wood will rot and change color,which means the all living things will become more dignified after natural baptism and time experience.People usually neglect and ignore life with becoming away from their heartfelt wishes.People talk for communicating and destroy nature for changing;nevertheless,since nature is the essence of all things and people are living in it,only by respecting nature can obtain long-term survival.Aimed at these serious problems,this article advocates that design shall return back to the nature and restore the essence of design;it indicates that “restoration” is the emancipation rather than the regression of design because the relationship between human and ecology will be improved by simplifying,essentializing,and naturalizing life.It is necessary to comply with natural ecological construction,communicate with nature in modest mood,and learn to reflect on harmonious coexistence.
