"Shape" and "essence" is the core of the proposition in the aesthetics of classical Chinese painting. there are a lot of discussion about Chinese figure painting on the shape and spirits in the history ,some are more likely to support "shape" ;the other support "essence". Whether that "like"supports or "spirit likenesses" are in search of a harmouious meeting point beetween shape and essence, because the "shape"and "essence "is not a party to exist, this paper believes that "concordance of shapeand essence" is he best relations between "the shape" and the "essence" from an aesthetic and philosophical point of view. but manifestations of this view is different with the times changingoThis article is consist of four parts to discuss. he first part is about the philosophy and culturebasis basis of "concordance of shape and essence " which analyses the impact about harmonious aesthetic of the Chinese figure painting, as well as the philosophy basis of "concordance of shape and essence ", the following part is concerned with the embodiment of "concordance of shape and essence" in Chinese figure painting, through the analysis of the works of Chinese figure of different periods of time . I come to the conclusion: " concordance of shape and essence " is everlasting proposition of the Chinese painting .In the nest part, it refers to my opinin of " shape and essence" of Chinese figure painting, nowdays,the sytle of Chinese painting is changing engaged in creativity and innovation in the Chinese painting,the absorption of factors of western and ofer arts is inevitable.only innovation can develon Chinese painting ,so on the benefit of the nation we should make a bold scheme to absorb and fusion the other arts .The last part try to explain the importance of the "concordance of shape and essence" form the portaraits of color and mood .The moolding tyle should be deversified so as to satisfy the diversity of the people in the contemporary aesthetic ,but no matter how the style chengs the essential characteer and foundamental requirement of Chinese painting can not be lost ,the choice of the sytle can not be far from the essence of things so as that shanp and essence can co-exist.In the choice of color the ancient experimenced the chang form giving color according to the shape to "sub-five-color ink" so as to enbody the artist's sujective emotion and the western focused on the usual harmony .The innovation of Chinese painting is inseparable form the innovation of the color ,so we should absorb the strengths of western color and train keen sense of color to invint new harmonious color .In the artistic concepyion we need to use modern people' aesthetic taste and develop the ability of our own perception to capyure and dicover thepretty of nature reserves,we also should learn form west shading,color,composition to build new artistic conception.Harmonious spirit guides the development of Chinese figure painting in order to create a harmonious environment painting, Harmonious environment for the painting make due contributions for harmonious society.In this paper, the use of the following methods: (1) Literature research. Access to a large number of information of "shape and essence", straighten out the developmental context of it, and understand the realistic trend of Chinese figure painting. (2)The Methods of theory and practice united. Collect pictures, information, combine creative practice figure paintings in china, and realize that "concordance of shape and essence" is very important.
