The paper is a practical interpretation based on the CCTV documentary series Chinese Garden. The report takes the fifth episode Genyue Dream of Kaifeng as the material. It mainly tells the building process of the royal garden Genyue in the North Song Dynasty, and analyzes the reasons for its perishing from the social and historical aspects.This report describes the whole process from the preparation period to the end, including four parts. The first part is the description of interpretation task which includes the task source, brief introduction of the task and task meaning. The second part is interpretation process. It consists of interpretation preparation, interpretation process and after-interpretation assessment. The third part is the case analysis. It is a key chapter, and the author uses many translation strategies here and classifies some difficulties and problems which occur in this task. The fourth part is the conclusion. It summarizes achievements and failures in this task, and some problems and expectations in the future. During this interpretation practice, the author takes the form of consecutive interpreting, and the interpretative theory of Paris in France. During this process, the author applies the translation strategies like addition, omission, merging, splitting and the adjustment in word order or sentence structure.Through this practice, the author improves the understanding and cognition of interpretation and gets much experience and lesson. It is believed that these feelings and experience could all provide the author with help and references in the future's learning and work. And the translation version could also be references for readers and audience.
