The adverbs of the agreed time used in the expression of “X Qi” is a special kind of adverbs in the modern Chinese adverbs, but there are few studies on it now. This paper will select ten agreed time adverbs-“An qi, Ru qi, Ding qi, Yi qi, Ke qi, Zun qi, Zhao qi, Ji qi, Zhun qi, Dao qi” as objects of the study, on the basis of corpus linguistics in Beijing University. Both the describe and explained, and the contrastive analysis methods will be used, the three aspects theories and the relative cognitive linguistics and pragmatics will also be applied in the analysis from the aspects of syntactical, semantic and its pragmatic use.The study shows that the syntactical characteristics of the agreed time adverbs in the expression of “X Qi” is that it can add “Di” when it used with verbs, which can express emphasis; compared with other adverbs of time, “X Qi” phases have two special uses: the first is the structure of the agreed time adverbs “X Qi”+De+Nouns; the second is the structure of “X Qi”+Er+Verbs.The agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” have different origins in terms of its meanings. Different words used in the structure of “X Qi+Verbs” implied different emphasis; the agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” formed as a results of its different syntactical structure, the semantics, and the disyllabic of “x” and “Qi”. This essay will also discuss the formulation of agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” from the aspects of syntax and semantics, and the cognitive linguistics, and then obtain its evolutionary ways: verb-object phrase?changed meaning for “Qi” ?influences from relative components?further grammaticalization of “Qi” ?the agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” are formed, which express a specified time.In the aspect of pragmatics, the most agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” are often used in the written language, especially in the language used in literary, except the “An qi” and “Zhao qi” phrases are mostly used in the spoken language, mainly refers to the spoken language used in work; the agreed time adverbs of “X Qi” are mostly appeared in the declarative sentences, and then the interrogatives sentences, and the three adverbial phrases of “An Qi, Ru qi, Dao qi” are also used in the imperative sentences and exclamatory sentences; at last, as the modal adverbs, the agreed time adverbs can also have the function of evaluation and emphasis.As there are few studies on the time of adverbs, the result of the essay will be helpful to enrich the adverbs research system in the further research; in addition, through the comparative analysis for these words, we will be more assure of the use of these phases, and it can also provide some references for the teaching of the Chinese as a foreign language.
