Chuanqi in Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is a prosperous and development period of Chinese opera arts after Ming Dynasty, is another peak of the history of Chinese opera arts after Zaju flourishing in the Yuan Dynasty. Because most of Chuanqi are volumious operas, which contain complex contents and many characters when performed on the stage, all of these have led Hangdang and Jiaose of Chuanqi to developing towards a more detailed and specialized direction.Jiaose and Hangdang, which is gradually formed and perfected with the formation and development of Chinese traditional opera, is the peculiar performance system of Chinese opera arts. However, as an important Jiaose and Hangdang of Chinese opera, Mojiao has an significant role in it. Among so many Jiaoses of Chinese opera, Mojiao is one of the oldest ancient Jiaoses. So based on research and classification on the literature data about Mojiao, the author try to make some analysis and enable readers to better understand Jiaose and Hangdang.The origin and evolution of Mojiao is long time,it is the origin and evolution along with the maturity and development of the traditional opera art. Mojiao at the end of the historical origins can be traced back to the xianqin period, the comedian can be said to be the Mojiao at the end of the bud. The historical origin of Mojiao, then further exploring the development and evolution of Mojiao based on the understanding of Mojiao in the bud, including its emergence,development and improvement and basically presents the evolution of Mojiao.Ming Dynasty plays a large number of Mojiao at the end of the play the characters in the image portrays images. Based on the roles and number of appearances of Mojiao in all kinds of scripts in Sixty Kinds of Operas, the author makes a list of roles played by Mojiao to make a brief analysis of its character profiles and types. According to the characters of different points of Mojiao at the end of the general situation of the character image classification, and according to the attitude of the playwright and the character image can be divided into the positive and negative characters to illustrate.Shape up can not only help shape the character image, or researchin the development of Chinese opera is an important reference. With reference to a large number of literatures, this chapter conducts a simple analysis on opera costumes and evolution of the opera makeup.Then according to the scripts and monologues in Sixty kinds of Operas, a list of clothing and make up of Mojiao is made, based on which, the thesis explores the characteristics of costume and makeup of Mojiao.Opera art is a comprehensive performing arts, Ming Dynasty as a master of Chinese opera, it uses the singing, speech, acting,acrobatic a variety of means of performing arts, such as at the end of the Mojiao as in the legend of the seven important a business, its performance also skilled in singing, speech, acting, acrobatic the four methods of the performing arts. The four means of performing arts including singing, speech, acting and acrobatic combat are comprehensively improved and perfected along with the maturity and development of Chuanqi. Author analyzes singing, speech, acting and acrobatic in details. First of all, a simple analysis on their origin,development and fixed routine is conducted, on the basis of which,how well the specialized and stylized arts have been employed in Mojiao is further explored. Ming Dynasty has made great contributions to the Chinese opera performance, which not only forms distinctive performance styles, but also lays a solid foundation for the basic establishment of Chinese opera performances system.Through the research, this thesis argues that the Mojiao of Ming Dynasty compared with the Mojiao in the Song Dynasty, has lost the leading function; compared with the Mojiao of Nanxi, recovering from a position, a number increase, molds the character identity type began to stabilize; compared with the Mojiao at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, although lost the lead singer, enrich the performance image,increased a lot of banter. In short, the Mojiao of Ming Dynasty has gradually got rid of connectors, the Mojiao has basically shifted from characters in funny dramas to ones in serious dramas, forming a special type that acts as positive and negative figures in serious plays.
