The Translation Practice Report Of "Check-in Guide Of Municipal Housing In Nagasaki"

With the deepening exchanges between China and Japan as well as the improvement of international level of Japan, it has been very common for Chinese people in Japan to live in the Japanese public housing. Japan’s public housing is the residence that Japanese government at all levels constructs to satisfy people’s minimum living conditions, and municipal housing g is the public housing that the municipal constructs. The Japanese government promulgated and implemented The Public Housing Law in 1951, which has been modified 14 times. So it can be said that Japan’s housing construction, especially the construction and management of public housing has gradually formed a relatively perfect system, while China’s construction of low rent housing has just started, and many specific problems remains to researched and discussed. Therefore, Japan’s housing construction especially the construction and management of public housing are worthy of our reference.For a better understanding of Japan’s housing construction and management, the author has selected check-in guide of municipal housing in Nagasaki(about 20000 words),used the translation methods and skills, and completed the translation task under the help of teachers and classmates. The author hopes to summarize the general translation methods and skills based on the translation practice of check-in guide and report, initially establish translation term table of check-in guide and form standard translation process, providing the reference and guidance for future translation work and hoping to provide some enlightenment to the domestic security housing construction and property management based on the understanding of the Japanese public housing.Check-in guide belongs to text applications, which have strong practicability. The author has reviewed the related text, analyzed the text characteristics and understood related translation strategies and lexical knowledge, providing a reference for translation practice. In the translation process, the author has employed communicative translation theory in different sentence tone processing, adhered to the principle of functional equivalence in lexical processing, and used literal translation, conversion and zero-culture translation strategy and others, summarizing translation theories and skills that is suitable for the practical application text of Japanese-Chinese translation. Through this translation practice, the author realizes that a qualified translator should not only have two kinds of languages, but also have more comprehensive understanding of translation activities, master stylistic features of translation materials and pay attention to all aspects in the translation process. When dealing with the practical application text, the translator should not only master the correctness of the translated text, but also pay attention to the appropriateness of the translation from the perspective of the text and make full use of the function of this text.
