Translation Practice Report On Safety Of Breast Implants

With the acceleration of global economic integration, communication has become an important bridge for the economic development, while the diversity of language increases the needs of translation, so is the medical field. On the one hand, the improvement of our medical care relies on our own excellent medical culture. And on the other hand, we need to learn from foreign advanced medical knowledge, and therefore the science of medical translation has a practical significance for the mastering of the latest medical knowledge, and strengthens exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world, as well as the world medical development.This translation practice report is based on the medical papers. In the summer of 2013,the writer was entrusted to translate the English papers into Chinese.The report starts with a description of the characteristics of the task and the skopos theory used in the translation process. Translation process includes preparation before translation, translation difficulties, and several notes after the translation. The core of the report is the analysis of the case. Because of the professionalism of medical translation, I mainly do research on medical papers translation from two aspects, namely, medical vocabulary and long sentence. In the summary of translation practice, it is proposed that the methods be adopted such as changing the parts of speech, omissions and division under the guidance of skopos theory, in order to promote effective exchange of medical research at home and abroad, and provide a reference for translators.
