As one of the Four Great Classical Novels, All Men Are Brothers is rich of great thoughts, and develop Tao for Tian is the central one among them. The novel has expressed the thought deeply, whereas, the TV series made in 1998 and 2011 are far from satisfying in their expression. Charter one is focus on the comparison of the three texts' thoughts. Chivalry and develop Tao for Tian are dialectical, and it is the relationship that makes the story more tensive and attractive. In contrast, affected by the mass consumption cultural, TV series weakened the spirit when they paid attention on emotion and action.The spirit is demonstrated by characters and their fate. Charter two analyzed three vital and changed greatly people Song Jiang, Lu Zhishen and Pan Jinlian. As the most controversial one, Song Jiang was distorted to a disgusting character by the TV series made in 1998, while the 2011 TV series created him as a perfect hero, and avoided all the defects. Lu Zhishen was a popular character, but became more and more undesirable, because the characters in TV series were far from hero gradually. Pan Jinlian was always eye-catching owing to her lascivious although she was not a hero, but shaped to a good person and she even worth our pity in the TV series. Just depended on surmising and pleasing audience is not the proper way on adaptation, and the subversive change in character creating resulted in deviating theme.Narrative skills are effective in creating character and expressing thoughts, then, in the third charter, through the study on the narrative order, plot, pace and attitude, the paper put forward that every text's narrative strategy is a reflection of the culture of it's time and audience preference. TV series were different from novel in expressing their ideas, and especially by means of montage. The tendency of TV series narration is less bloody and more emotional. Producers' and actors' understanding of the novel directly led the so-called hero to dilemma, and the text lack of logic, and at last, the text not convincing.To narrative better it needs rhetoric, just like to express thoughts better it needs character. The forth charter put effort on rhetorical figure of the texts, and found that they were vary from time to time. The novel was skilled in using symbolism and metaphor to create character and express thoughts. Theoretically speaking, the show will do better in narrative, because performance is a primitive way than words in expressing, actually, TV series were busy in creating special effects to attract audience and pursue high viewing rate, and neglected creating vivid character and expressing profound thoughts.
