Shanxi Ping Lu District is the hometown of a famous person Yu Chigong who found a country Tang Dynasty hometown,where spread a lot of legends about him.These legends are regarded as Shuozhou Ping Lu critical part of the culture of the region,and its unique content circumstances reflects the local population about the history situation and psychological activities.This thesis surveys through historical documents and field investigation by classifying the Yu Chigong' legend theme,analyzing folk culture function and modern value;looks the civilian and cultural significance to the local community by analyzing and use of folklore,cultural anthropology,sociology theory inside the legends of localized content.The thesis also carried on the elaboration on Yu chigong and the legend from the political culture,the historical literature and the traditional culture aspects,thinking the Yu chigong fable construction basiclly lay in the special political background,reflecting people to the pursue of �Bright time of peace,enlightened lord,heartful official�.While the historical literature development of the people and the door of god beliefs notion building play an important role.On the theme type,this thesis analyze the Yu chigong Christine legends emboding the Heroic Legend,hero god's folk culture connotation and figures thinking of folklore from the late Christine Legend Yui life legends,expedition legends,apparition legend,mongolian legend,these four respects.The paper analyzed Yu chigong fable cultural function combing Pinglu's localization,from the historical memory,the cultural approval,as well as moral aspects.It Viewed that Shuozhou Ping Lu local history culture,and the geographical conditions have a significant impact on the population of the historical memory of cultural identity,which in turn reflected to the legend.At the same time it also pointed Yu chigong embodied the moral values,which had an important meaning on the save and development;which is of great significance to Shuozhou Ping Lu ?s history culture and the people's ideological values.Under the non-material cultural heritage angle of view,the studies of Yu chi gong fable also has modern significance.The thesis through the analysis of the gate of god culture festival and the modern folk custom culture industry,pointed out that the Weichi gong fable in the modern situation should positively comply with the trend of the protection,take its essence to go to its dregs,display its positive aspect in economy,culture,society,values and construct the harmonious society.
