| The emergence of the mobile phone, was not only a milestone of science and technology, as a new interpersonal interaction of media, it also subtle influenced on every aspect of people. It had been became the necessities for the modern people, especially for the college students. So whether the achievement motivation of college students and the level of social support had relations with the usage of mobile phones, and what was the effect on the college students’ life, it also paid to the further reseach and discussion. So the relationship between college students’ social support, achievement motivation and mobile phone dependence tendency had very important significance.A sample of 601 college students were investigated by Social Support Scale, Achievement Motivation Scale, and Mobile Phone Dependence Index Scale in this study. The relationship between social support and achievement motivation and mobile phone dependence tendency in the relationship were discussed.The results were as follows:1. Social support on college students’ family origin and discipline nature existed significant differences. The college students from city could get more support than the college students from the rural areas. The science students could get more support than the liberal arts college students.2. Achievement motivation existed significant differences in discipline nature, The achievement motivation of liberal arts students was stronger than the science students.3. Mobile phone dependence tendency also existed significant differences in discipline nature, the mobile phone dependence tendency of liberal arts students’ than science students.4. There was pairwise correlation between social support, achievement motivation and mobile phone dependence tendency. There was significant negative correlation between social support and achievement motivation in college students. There was significant negative correlation between social support and mobile phone dependence tendency. There was significant positive correlation between achievement motivation and mobile phone dependence tendency.5. In addition, social support could negative predict academic mobile phone dependence tendency and achievement motivation could positive predict mobile phone dependence tendency. The achievement motivation of college students had full mediation effects between social support and their mobile phone dependence tendency. |
