| Blaise Pascale is a famous French mathematician, physicist, philosopher and essayist, he makes great contribution and have a far-reaching influence on physics, mathematics, philosophy and religion. He put forward PASCAL hexagon theorem at the age of 16; he invented the first adder in the world at the age of 19; he even created mercury barometer and proposed PASCAL’s theorem at the age of 23. He is a faithful believer of God in the field of philosophy and religion. He has his own unique insights for religion, and what’s more, he is a spiritual giant in the realm of thought.This paper focuses on Pascal’s study of gambling proving on belief. The thinking of religious thought is Pascale’s new world, he firmly believes that God will bring happiness after experiencing the pain of torture, social promotion and surrounded by church. Review Pascale’s life, his discussion of Christian thought is not much and these discussion are mainly concentrated in two of his books, "thought record" and "To outsiders Letters".In the seventeenth century, the interior of Catholic Church formed Jansenist for the stronghold of the royal monastery. Jansenist criticize on the powerful French bishop Jesuits at that time, Jesuits take advantage of the privilege that Church is associated with regime to make Pope Innocent X announce there is a heresy in Jason’s book. However, Jason insists refusing to admit that there are five propositions existed in the writing. Driven by the controversy, on the one hand, Pascale pick up his pen to defend his faith and plead for Jansenist. On the other hand, he also know that if there is no God, human will be unfortunately, therefore, only if the God exist, people can get happiness. Pascale think human’s rationality is limited, the existence of God can’t be reasoned by rational reasoning, so he put forward a probability proving about God, from proving God’s objective existence to prove that we need to believe in God subjectively.Pascale thinks God and the man need connecting link, so Christianity build a bridge between them and to prove that Christianity is the true religion through five aspects of morality, doctrine, miracles, prophecy and symbolism. |
