On The Thought Of The Sage And “Hua” In Zhuangzi

The sage is the ideal personality in Zhuangzi in which it is described in detail. “Hua” is a concept which has abundant implications involved with Zhuangzi's cosmology and the theory of life, especially the sage's life state. The topic of this paper is "sage and ‘Hua'", that is to say, it will discuss sage in the perspective of “Hua”, and reveal the deep meaning of “Hua”.The author will discuss the relationship between sage and “Hua” in Zhuangzi systematically on the accurate grasp of Zhuangzi and the existing research results. The article is divided into three parts including introduction, body and the complementary part. The body structure is as follows:The first chapter tries to put forward two basic problems which life must face at the beginning of the transformation of the life, namely being ignorant of the truth of life and death and being puzzled with the truth of the unity of all beings. These are the two implications of “Wuhua” and the sage is the one who comprehends “Wuhua”.The second chapter,the author describes the thought of“the one holds intrinsic virtue transforming with the external beings and circumstance”(??????),namely the external varies along with the change of all beings while the internal remains unchanged,which makes the right and wrong reconciled,then brings the public and all things into a harmony and complete world.This is the achievement of the sage called“Waihua”.The third chapter, this chapter describes the influences of sage on the public, namely the enlightenment of sage. It focuses on two themes: the first part is about the ideal mode of education and it's subject, content and influences. Then the second part is about the mode of sage's education to the public and the king in reality.
