Research On Sao Fa Of He Yisun

He Yisun, as the famous literary theory expert of late Ming dynasty,has written lots of academic works.However “Sao Fa”, as its only production of Chu Ci,has certain representativeness with its unique ideological content and aesthetic features in the late Ming dynasty.“Sao Fa”is the research object of this paper. Firstly,the paper will discuss the writer and the creation background of “Sao Fa”.Then we will analysis how“Sao Fa”evaluate Chu Ci from three aspects,ideologically, aesthetically and academically. Finally, the paper will discuss the art characteristics,value and influence of “Sao Fa”.The introduction part, mainly expounds the research situation of “Sao Fa”and the writing purpose and significance of this paper.The body part of this paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly introduce the life of He Yisun and the creation of “Sao Fa”. The life of He is divided into three stages in chronological order:in the youth, his official career was frustrated(1605-1644);in the middle age,he lived in seclusion(1644-1664); in his later life,He lived in poverty and concentrated on academy(1664-1689). Then the essay analyses the ideological basis of He Yisun:the fidelity of Confucianism and the nature of Taoism. At the same time from the external political environment, the era of literary ethos and the inner feeling of the authors,the essay analyses the writing background and motivation of “Sao Fa”,as well as the version, style and other issues.The second chapter is the main part of this paper, from the thought, aesthetic and academic aspects to analyze “Sao Fa”. In thought, the comments on“Li Sao”highlight the adherents of Ming dynasty of He Yisun; the evaluation of “Jiu Ge” explains the loyalty of He;the evaluation of “Jiu Zhang” pays more attention to Qu Yuan's personal feelings; and the comments on Song Yu's “Jiu Bian”makes an accurate interpretation on Song's emotion of the autumn.In addition, the evaluation of Qu Yuan's “Yuan You”, “Bu Ju”, “Yu Fu”and Song Yu's“Zhao Hun”and “Da Zhao”also has a lot of great insights. In aesthetic,He interprets “Chu Ci”with the touch of poetry and the feeling of beauty,which combines the romanticism with therealism aesthetics,building the unique aesthetic criticism by himself. Academically, “Sao Fa”discusses the problems of the evaluation of “Tian Wen”,the sections and chapters of “Jiu Ge”and “Jiu Zhang”etc.The third chapter focuses on the art features and values of “Sao Fa”. On one hand,“Sao Fa”inherits the traditional pattern of the comments upon the poetry of Ming dynasty;On the other hand, “Sao Fa”also pays attention to comment “Chu Ci” in the longitudinal and transverse comparison. Also the paper analyses the value and influence of “Sao Fa”:the junction of study on “Chu Ci” in Ming and Qing dynasties, the exploration on the aesthetics of “ Chu Ci”,the reflection of the trend from comment to evaluation on the study of “ Chu Ci” in late Ming dynasty.In addition, this paper expounds the deficiencies of“Sao Fa”:inane,subjective and lack of connotation.
