Objective:According to the entry standard,we selected Han nationality residents over 40 years of age lived in Xining(moderate altitude area)and Gonghe(high altitude area)to screen the high risk group for stroke, the selected people were examined by carotid color ultrasound, and the relevant data were investigated, and blood samples were taken to test the level of Hcy and hs-CRP.By observing the carotid plaque occurrence and its influencing factors in high risk population of stroke,we hope the data can be useful for preventing and treating stroke in high altitude region.Methods:1.The risk factors of stroke in Xining community and Gonghe over 40years of age were investigated by questionnaire survey, physical examination, blood glucose and blood lipid test.According to the relevant criteria for risk assessment, residents were divided to stroke low, middle and high risk groups,we chose 100cases respectively from high risk group as the object of study.2.All high risk group members underwent carotid ultrasound examination by the attending physician who obtained the training certificate of carotid color ultrasound examination with ultrasound instrument in our hospital.3.Blood samples from all high risk groups were collected on the spot. After centrifugation, the serum Hcy level was measured by circulating enzyme method with the reagent provided by Siemens 2400biochemistry analyzer and Hebai Biomedical Company. The serum hs-CRP level was determined by using HITACHI special protein analyzer and Boyuan Biomedical Company reagent by turbidimetric method. The three indexes of the two groups were compared respectively.Results:1.The detection rate of carotid plaque in the high altitude group was significantly higher than that in the middle altitude area(74.5%vs 56.6%,?~2=7.716,P<0.05).2.The Hcy level in high altitude group was significantly higher than that in moderate altitude group(Z=-3.808,P<0.001).3.The hs-CRP level in high altitude group was significantly higher than that in moderate altitude group(Z=-4.533,P<0.001).4.The Hcy and hs-CRP level in high altitude group of women was higher than that in moderate altitude group, the hs-CRP level in high altitude group of men was higher than that in moderate altitude group.Conclusion:1.The proportion of ones overweight in high altitude group was significantly higher than that in moderate altitude group, and the proportion of diabetes mellitus in moderate altitude group was higher than that in high altitude group, other factors such as hypertension?hyperlipidemia had no significant difference in this data analysis.2.The detection rate of carotid plaque,Hcy level and hs-CRP level in high altitude area were significantly higher than those in moderate altitude area.3.The Hcy and hs-CRP level in high altitude group of women was higher than that in moderate altitude group, the hs-CRP level in high altitude group of men was higher than that in moderate altitude group.4.High altitude plays an important role in the progression of stroke, the prevention and treatment of stroke in high altitude area should pay more attention to monitoring and controlling of carotid artery plaque,Hcy and hs-CRP level.
