Clinical Observation With Vitiligo Treated By Low-doses Methylprednisolone Tablets Combined Portable NB-UVB

Objective:We sought to clinical observe the efficacy and safety of low-doses Methylprednisolone Tablets combined with NB-UVB,in treatment of vitiligo.Methods:The study included 101 vitiligo patients through random assignment into two groups.The control group was treated with NB-UVB alone while the experimental group was treated with NB-UVB therapy and low-doses Methylprednisolone Tablets.After three months treatment,there was statistical the efficacy and safety in the experimental group(Methylprednisolone Tablets plus NB-UVB)compared with the control group.Results:1.The effective rate of the experimental group was 92.16% and the control group was 80%,the difference was statistical significance(P<0.05),The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 7.84% and the control group was 6%.There was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The main adverse reactions are pain and blisters in the location of irradiated by NB-UVB in the treatment of vitiligo.But the adjustment of drug dosage,pain and blesters can get back to normal.The portable NB-UVB therapeutic instrument has more advantages,such as much more convenient to carry,rather simpler to operate,which can improve the patient’s compliance and efficiency.3.Although many adverse reactions by used Methylprednisolone Tablets,low-doses Methylprednisolone Tablets can quickly control the vitiligo.After observing 3 months,the adverse reaction is grade I acne on the face.However,the adverse reaction did not affect the progress of the trial.Conclusions: The study indicate that low-doses Methylprednisolone Tablets combined with NB-UVB can be an effective and safe form of treatment for vitiligo,which is worth selecting by clinician.
