Objective:Toperform Meta-analysis on the application of different methods of Blue Light Exposure in adjuvant treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia,to evaluate the safety and efficacy of each method,thus providing a reference basis for the treatment of jaundice in clinical Blue Light Treatment.Method:The published literatures in this study was systematically retrieved,including literatures from the Chinese Journal of Biomedical Literature(CBM),Vipu database(VIP),Wanfang database,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),A hundred chain cloud library,PubMed database,The cochrane library,and Web of science databases,and the latest journals were manually retrieved.The researched period was since when the databases was established till 2016,and all the references involved have been consulted too.The retrieved keywords in Englishare as follows:Blue light irradiation;Light therapy;Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia;Neonatal jaundice.The Chinese retrieving subjects or keywords were:Blue light;Light therapy;Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia;Neonatal jaundice.Bring in all these researches to conduct a randomized controlled trial to study the efficacy of blue light in the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.Therequired literatureswere selected prudently from the retrieving results,and the quality evaluation and data collection were taken charged by two evaluators respectively.Meta-analysis on the collected measurement data was analyzed by the statistical software Revman5.3.This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of different methods of Blue Light Exposure in adjuvant treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia,thus providing references for treatments of neonatal jaundice.Result:In total,24 literatures were selected in which 1422 research objects were involved.The Meta-analysis results were as follows.1 10 literatures were selected to compare the efficacy of interval blue light irradiation,and continuous blue light irradiation using the same common blue light tube.The comparative study was conducted on serum bilirubin values,overall effective rates,and adverse reactions after irradiation.The Meta-analysis indicated that the difference between the reduction of serum bilirubin value after interval and continuous Blue Light irradiation was insignificant[WMD=-9.69,95% Cl(-20.04,0.65),P=0.07];the overall effective rates of interval and continuous blue light irradiation was statically significant[OR=2.42,95% Cl(1.19,4.92),P=0.01].The adverse reaction rate of interval irradiation were distinctively lower than that of continuous irradiation,and the difference was significant[OR=0.12,95% Cl(0.08,0.18),P<0.00001].2 14 literatures were selected to compare the efficacy of LED tube irradiation for common irradiation.The comparison was mainly on the serum bilirubin value and adverse reaction after irradiation treatments.According to Meta-analysis results,the reduction of serum bilirubin after LED tube irradiation was more distinctive than that of common irradiation,and the difference was statically significant[WMD=-30.59,95%Cl(-45.65,-15.53),P<0.0001];moreover,the adverse reaction rate of LED tube irradiation method was distinctively lower than that of common irradiation method,and the difference was also statically significant[OR=0.12,95 % Cl(0.08,0.18),P <0.00001].Conclusion:While sharing the same blue light tube with the continuous irradiating method,the interval irradiating method can shorten the irradiating period and at the same time achieve the same efficacy.It can reduce the serum bilirubin concentration,then cure the jaundice.Besides,the adverse reaction rate of interval irradiation was distinctively lower than that of continuous irradiation,so between the two methods,interval irradiation method is the one safer and proper for clinical generalization and application.Under the sameirradiating period,the serum bilirubin reduction efficiency of LED tube irradiation method was distinctively higher than that of common blue light tube,and the adverse reaction rate is lower,meaning that it should be generalized and applied clinically,however;under the specific clinical situation,it should be taken into consideration that proper blue light irradiating should be chosen based on the primary diseases and specific condition of certain pediatric patients.
