Background: The systematic review is one of the high-quality evidences.Collecting scientific evidences in social science research by using qualitative systematic review can not only ensure the quality of social science evidence but promote the advancement of social science practice.However,in China,researching and practicing of qualitative systematic review is still in the initial stage,the related research is very few,most of which stay at the level of introduction and review.Objective: 1)To understand current research situation of methodology in qualitative systematic review at home and abroad;2)Its application in social science research;3)Applying the method of qualitative systematic review to the health service management systematically studies the evaluation indicators of rural health service quality.Meanwhile,policy makers and health management researchers can obtain evidence and guidance.Methods: 1)A comprehensive search strategy was conducted,as well as domestic and international databases and related research institutions' websites were used to collect methodological studies on qualitative systematic review.Bibliometrics methods were applied to integrate existing methodological studies.2)NetDraw in visual analysis software Ucinet 6.0software was used to draw social networks which enable to figure the application of qualitative systematic review in the field of social sciences.3)At the same time,Thematic Synthesis was applied to qualitatively evaluate the system of rural health service quality evaluation indicators.Results: 1)Results of literature review are that there are 15 literatures on the methodology of qualitative systematic review,from 5 countries,and methods were applied in different fields,including management,health services,education,nursing,health care.During the course of writing in qualitative systematic review,the models for problem construction include SPIDER,SPICE,ECLIPSE,PICO,PCO and PEO;the quality assessment tools consist of JBI-QARI,CASP,Evaluation for qualitative research,and COREQ;methods of resources analysis:Meta-ethnography,Qualitative meta-synthesis,Meta-aggregation,the Qualitative Comparative Method,Critical Interpretive Synthesis(CIS),Thematic Synthesis,Realist Review.2)Results of bibliometrics method : There were a total of 473 qualitative systematic reviews in the field of social science research from 56 countries,distributed in 228 different journals;public healthresearch and sociological research is the main application areas,as well as interdisciplinarity is the frequently presented form.3)Results of qualitative systematic review: There are 16 studies on rural health service quality evaluation indicators,which come from 6 countries.They are about assessing primary health service,health system,and the quality and performance of rural medical institutions.Conclusion: Results show that there are still unclear descriptions,lack of key steps,and low feasibility in the writing process of qualitative system review,which ultimately effect the reliability and practicality of evidence.This study finds that in order to fully evaluate rural health service quality in the study of rural health service quality evaluation indicators,clear and explicit methodological guidance is priority in the process of constructing indicators.The application of indicator process needs to comprehensively consider the application background and research localization so that the validity and practicality of the indicators could be improved.
