Background Systematic Reviews(SRs)and/or Meta-analysis(MAs)are often considered as one of the best sources of evidence by clinicians and decision-makers.In recent years, the number of published reviews of nursing systematic reviews / meta-analyzes has been gradually increasing.Under such a general trend, the methodology quality status and existing problems of SRs / MAs analysis and the cognition of nursing practitioners to the reporting standards are all worth closer concerned and in-depth study.Studies have shown that the quality of SRs / MAs may be subject to such factors as fund grants, periodical grades, etc. However, more and more evidence support is needed in the field of nursing in China. In addition,at present, the survey on normative degree of nursing professional practitioners in China is relatively scarce. Objective 1)Evaluate the quality of RCT(Randomized Controlled Trial)-based MAs.2)Investigate the level of awareness of nursing practitioners on the SRs / MAs reporting specifications. Methods 1)Before we searched the literature, nursing professional journals were identified through State Administration of Press,Publication,Radio,Film and Television of The People's Republic of China.CNKI?Wanfang?CBM and VIP database were searched for the literatures of SR/ MA in these journals. The search time was established from the database to December 31,2015,and the documents for 2016 and 2017 were supplemented on March 1,2017 and March 1,2018,respectively.By screening, eventually only RCT-based MAs were included. In this study,EXCEL and STATA 12.0 software were used for data sorting and statistical analysis.2)A questionnaire was designed to investigate the nursing program's graduate and clinical staff's knowledge of the JBI(Joanna Briggs Institute,JBI)Systematic Review Report and the ROBIS(Systematic Review of Risk Assessments)risk assessment tool. This study uses SPSS 17.0 and STATA 12.0 software for statistical analysis. Results 1)Totally 462 RCT-based MAs,which were published in mainland China nursing journals, were finally included and analyzed in this study. The results showed that both the assessment results based on the JBI systematic evaluation report standard and the ROBIS systematic assessment bias risk assessment tool were of lower quality, but the quality of the RCT-based MAs published in core journals is significantly better than that of non-core journals. In addition, the quality of the research on the cooperation between the hospital team and the university was significantly better than that of the author team only comes from hospital or university(P = 0.000);the quality of the research team from the university was superior to the team was from the hospital(P=0.000);multi-agency(?2)multi-author(?3)research collaboration can significantly improve the quality of MAs(multi-agency: P=0.001;multi-author: P=0.000).However,the effect of fund-raising on the quality of research is not significant(P = 0.098).2)The respondents did not know much about the reporting standards. The qualifications of nursing professionals have a significant impact on the level of awareness of the reporting standards. The degree of cognition of nursing staff(including master students)is significantly better than undergraduate degree and college degree(P=0.000),and there is no significant difference between undergraduate degree and college degree nursing staff(P=0.659),Whether teaching hospitals and professional titles have a significant effect on the level of cognition of nursing staff is also not significant(Teaching Hospital VS non-teaching hospital: P=0.519;primary VS intermediate:P=0.633;primary VS senior: P=0.653;intermediate VS senior: P=0.900).Conclusion At present, the quality of RCT-based Meta analysis in domestic nursing is still low.The nursing core journals' understanding of SRs / MAs and their efforts to promote their quality are worthy of recognition, but there is still much room for improvement.Multi-agency and multi-author cooperation can obviously improve the quality of MAs,which is also the trend of conducting scientific research in the future.Through the investigation of this study,we found that the cognition level of nurses practitioners nowadays needs to be improved urgently, and academic qualifications will affect their cognition of reporting standards.
