The Evaluation On Survival Status Of Leprosy Affected People And Monitoring System In WenZhou District Of Zhejiang Province

Objective: To investigate the current situation of prevention and treatment of leprosy in Wen Zhou district.To explore prevention and early detection of leprosy,reduce the incidence of disability.These can provide a basis of how to accelerate action to eliminate leprosy hazards.Methods: Based on the standardized national criteria and method,all registered people affected by leprosy in Wenzhou district were asked to fill in a nationally standardized form about the basic social information including family situation,labor ability,disability situation,rehabilitation needs and other living condition.Results: Out of the 62 cases,43 were males and 19 were females.The youngest and the oldest patient was 23 and 91 years old respectively,and the average age of the patients was 63.7 years old.18 patients live alone.57 patients were inability of work or were only engaged in light physical work.Disability rate of grade 2 was 30.6%,the shortest and the longest time leading to disability were 59 and 635 months respectively,and its average time was 298.78 months.There were 15 patients who were short of essential protective measures.The rate of anxiety and depression was 41.67%(25/60)and 21.67%(13/60)respectively and has no statistical differences in gender.Anxiety and depression were correlated with treatment status,disability status and economic income.By Logistic regression analysis,treatment status,disability status and economic income were predictors of anxiety and the predictors of depression were treatment status and disability status.60 cases were selected as the subjects,whose average overall scores of support were 32.30±6.02,and were lower than those of the normal.The scores of subjective support,objective support and the utilization of support were 19.40±3.50,7.10±1.73,5.80±1.63 respectively.The levels of support were correlated with mode of living(OR=27.96),economic income(OR=23.13),education level(OR=13.68),disability(OR=0.19),age(OR=0.16)by logistic regression.314318 Yuan had been invested during 2012-2015.The time of delayed diagnosis was shortened 34.35 months,the times of misdiagnosis were reduced 0.8,and avoided 2 cases of grade ?disabilities;retrieved DALY of 72.64;save social total value of 3860777.5 Yuan.The cost-benefit ratio was 12.28.Conclusion: People affected by leprosy had poor living condition and had visible anxiety and depression manifestation.By Logistic regression analysis,treatment status and disability were the risk factors to both anxiety and depression.The government should provide fundamental living and medical assistance to them to protect and promote their health.They also had less social support and the predictors correlated with mode of living,economic income,education level,disability and age by logistic regression.To safeguard the quality of people affected by leprosy the key to achieve the goal of The elimination of leprosy harm plan(2011-2020).The monitoring system of leprosy suspicious symptom was better cost-effectiveness in controlling the epidemic of leprosy,which achieve sustainable development.
