| Objective : To analyse the clinical characteristics of cytomegalovirus(CMV)infection in neonates and improve the recognition of clinical doctors to this disease.Methods :We made a retrospectively analysis among 62 neonates who were diagnosed with CMV infection and treated in the first affiliated hospital of nanchang university between January 2007 and January 2018,and summarize its clinical manifestations,laboratory examination,treatment processes and outcomes.Results : These 62 cases of CMV infection in infants with clinical manifestations include jaundice,liver function abnormalities,hepatosplenomegaly,direct bilirubin,cough,shortness of breath,thrombocytopenia,intracranial hemorrhage,congenital malformations,hearing deficit,fundus lesions,etc.Among them with liver damage is the most common.The most common clinical feature of CMV infection in preterm infant was liver damage,which occupied 76.9%,53.8% of their results of hearing screening were abnormal,46.2% of them had two or more target organ damages.The most common clinical feature of CMV infection in full-term infant was liver damage too,the percentage of it was 61.2%,22.4% of those full-term infants’ results of hearing screening were abnormal,32.7% of them had two or more target organ damages.59 cases of those 62 neonates received ganciclovir therapy,the reduction of neutrophils happened to 2 neonates.There did not appear other serious adverse drug reactions and have a good curative effect.ConclusionThe CMV infection in neonates,which can lead to multiple organ function damage.But the clinical manifestations of it often lack of specificity.CMV infection should be considered when the neonate present the hyperbilirubinemia,liver function damage,pneumonia with pathogen unknown and congenital malformations.Then have a test of CMV-DNA in Urine,and monitoring and following-up the hearing、vision and so on at the same time.The ganciclovir therapy in children with symptomatic CMV infection have a good curative effect and safe. |
