Objective:To investigate the quantitative analysis of 1H-MRS and DWI in the treatment of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis(CAE)by long-term oral albendazole liposome,and the correlation between 1H-MRS and DWI.Methods:12 patients with cerebral alveolar echinococcosis who met the inclusion criteria were collected.Application of 3.0T double gradient superconducting magnetic resonance spectrometer,respectively conventional whole brain MRI scan and enhanced scan,DWI scan and MR multi voxel proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy examination,DWI gradient sensitive factor b value was 1000s/mm2.The measurement of CAE with oral liposomal albendazol before and after 1 years the same lesion parenchyma of ADC and Cho,NAA,cr,Lip+Lac and m I concentration of metabolites,and calculating the NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho,NAA/Cho+Cr,Lip+Lac/Cr,using the Wilcoxon signed rank test for each group of data were statistically analyzed,and the ratio of 1H-MRS concentration and ADC value of compounds the correlation analysis respectively.Results: The ADC value of the same lesion in the CAE patients was statistically significant(P < 0.001)before and after oral liposomal albendazol treatment.The ADC value in the same lesion area after treatment was higher than that before treatment.NAA peak increased compared with before treatment,and NAA/Cho,NAA/Cr and NAA/Cho+Cr increased to different degrees.The two times before and after treatment were statistically significant(P <0.01).The ADC value of the lesion parenchyma of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis was negatively correlated with Cho.Conclusion: Long term liposomal albendazol is effective in the treatment of CAE.When conventional MRI examination showed no significant change in lesion image,combined application of DWI and 1H-MRS could be used as a quantitative index of liposomal albendazol in the treatment of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis,providing an objective imaging basis for the observation of CAE lesions.
