Objective:To investigate and evaluate the efficacy of magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging and signal intensity in patients with alveolar echinococcosis who took albendazole liposomes for a long time.Methods:16 patients with alveolar echinococcosis who met the inclusion criteria from April 2017 to December 2020 were examined by DWI with GE 3.0T magnetic resonance equipment. The b value was 34lesions in 1000s/mm~2and 30 lesions in 3000s/mm~2.The quantitative index ADC value of DWI was analyzed by GE ADW4.4 post-processing workstation, and the ADC values of focus parenchyma, edema area and control area were measured. At the same time, the signal-to-noise ratio of T2WI sequence was measured, and the data of each group were statistically analyzed by Wilcoxon sign rank sum test. Results:After one year of treatment with albendazole liposome, most of the lesions were enlarged and the signal intensity of T2WI sequence increased slightly. The ADC values of the parenchymal areas of the lesions were compared before and after treatment. The difference between them was statistically significant in the case of b value 1000s/mm~2and 3000s/mm~2(P<0 05).The difference of ADC value of edema area before and after treatment was statistically significant in the case of b value 1000s/mm~2and 3000s/mm~2(P<0.001),and the SNR value of parenchymal area of focus before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05).Through binary linear classification,it is found that under the same b value, the effect of drugs on the edema area of the focus is more obvious than that of the solid area of the focus;under different b values, the higher the b value, the higher the diagnostic effectiveness of drug treatment of the focus. Conclusion:Albendazole liposome is effective in the treatment of alveolar echinococcosis.Long-term imaging follow-up of patients with alveolar echinococcosis treated with albendazole liposome is necessary. The changes of signal intensity and quantitative analysis of DWI were used to provide objective basis for the treatment of alveolar echinococcosis.
