Objective :To investigate the epidemiological status and related risk factors of dental caries among children aged 3-5 years old in Han,Uygur and Mongolian children in Bortala,and to provide fundamental prevention of dental caries for the children in this area.Methods: Using the multiple stratified and cluster sampling method,1089 Han,Uygur and Mongolian children in 8 kindergartens in Bortala were randomly selected,and oral examination was carried out under uniform standard by investigators.The questions include children's eating habits,oral health behavior and so on were obtained from parents by a questionnaire survey.And SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results :Logistic regression analysis showed that the older age,preterm,the higher frequency intake of sweet beverage,more frequently feeding after brush teeth or at night,too late visit your dentist for the first time are the risk factors of severe early childhood caries.However,artificial feeding,the higher frequency of auxiliary brushing and the high family income are its protective factor.Conclusion :the incidence of childhood dental caries in Bortala is related to eating habits,oral health habits,socioeconomic factors and the generation of children.In addition,anemia and rickets in infants and young children increase the risk of deciduous dental caries.
