Objective: To explore the basic information,hospital days and hospital costs of patients with common and recurrent chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),and to find out the influencing factors of hospital expenses through the analysis of these conditions,to further control the rapid increase of hospital costs and to provide the basis for health policy makers.Methods: General information of COPD patients and hospital days and hospital expenses were collected from respiratory Department of a hospital in Xinjiang during 2013-2015.The median and percentile were used to describe,the single factor analysis of hospitalization days and expenses of COPD patients was carried out by nonparametric rank and test,and the factors affecting hospital fees of COPD patients were studied by multiple linear regression models.Results: 207 patients with COPD were collected in 3 years.The hospitalization cost increased year by year,and the drug cost accounted for nearly 50 %.Single-factor analysis showed that: age,marriage,Different types of health insurance,admission condition,rescue situation,guardianship status will affect the days of hospitalization and hospitalization costs;The number of days in hospital is positively correlated with the cost of hospitalization,and the analysis of multiple factors shows that the number of days in hospital,the marital status,the type of medical insurance,the admission condition is an important factor affecting the cost of hospitalization in patients with COPD.Conclusion:The prevention of disease,early intervention and early treatment should be strengthened,the number of hospital days should be reduced and unnecessary medical resources should be avoided.All kinds of health care departments should actively control patients 'unreasonable days in hospital,the cost of expensive drugs,the use of large medical devices and so on.
