Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of kidney tissue urotensin ? in patients with diabetic nephropathy and IgA nephropathy.Methods:36 people were diagnosed as diabetic nephropathy by renal biopsy and 30 people were diagnosed as IgA nephropathy by renal biopsy in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2015,and 15 people were established as normal control group.Expression of U? in kidney tissue were detected by immunohistochemical method and the correlation analysis with the patient's clinical manifestations.Results:1.The expression of U? in renal tissue of diabetic nephropathy group and IgA nephropathy group was significantly higher than that in normal control group(p<0.01).2.U? and diabetic nephropathy:the expression of U? in renal tissue was positively correlated with serum creatinine,24-hour urinary protein quantification, urine microalbumin,KatafuChi's semi-quantitative chronic integral and total score, while negatively correlated with eGFR(p<0.01).Regression analysis showed that the expression of U? in glomeruli and renal tubules was significantly correlated with eGFR and semi-quantitative score(t>1,p<0.05).3.U? and IgA nephropathy:the expression of U? in glomeruli and renal tubules was significantly correlated with eGFR and semi-quantitative chronic integrals(t>1,p<0.05).4.U? and TGF-?1:the expression in both renal tubular and glomerular were positively correlated, whether in diabetic nephropathy group or IGA nephropathy group(p<0.01).Conclusions:The expression of U? in the kidney tissues of diabetic nephropathy was significantly higher than that in the normal control group, and the expression of U?was positively correlated with the semi-quantitative score of renal tissue, serum creatinine, urinary albumin and 24-hour urinary protein quantification, while creatinine clearance was negatively correlated. In the regression analysis, removed the confounding factors, the expression of U? was significantly correlated with eGFR and chronic integral score, which indicated that it increased with the increase of lesion, suggesting that U? may play an important role in the progression of diabetic nephropathy.U? was also highly expressed in renal tissue of IgA nephropathy. The expression of U? was both significantly correlated with the semi-quantitative score, suggesting that it may be involved in the progression of IgA nephropathy. Both in diabetic nephropathy group and IgA nephropathy group, the expression of U? in glomeruli and renal tubules was positively correlated with the expression of TGF-?1,they may promote the progression of diabetic nephropathy and IgA nephropathy.
